Legal research and matter management

Every answer shows where it came from.

AliWiz lets lawyers ask questions against their own files, organize each case in one place, and draft from the sources they chose. Your work stays private until you decide to share it.

Ask a question. Choose exactly what it can see.

Each question can draw on the Vault files you pick, one matter, or the legal sources you turn on. Read the answer, check the passages behind it, and reply to follow up in the same thread.

  • Compare two models side by side when you want a second view
  • Reuse saved instructions to set tone, structure and limits
  • Ask one document at a time with “Ask this document”
  • Save part of an answer to memory, or make a Word document from it
Example question“Summarize the extension request in the notice and list every date it mentions.”

Scope: one matter, its ready case-file documents only. Answer: a summary with passages, and a follow-up that asks which date is the response deadline.

One case, one workspace.

Keep the client profile, docket, case file, tasks and evidence together. The docket is the primary timeline, and supporting uploads sit beside it rather than competing with it.

Docket and timeline

Filings in their original order, with manual steps for matters without docket access.

Evidence and investigations

Link people, events and issues to the records that support them. Originals stay in the Vault.

Tasks you review

Suggested next actions and deadline reviews. Every date needs your confirmation and a recorded basis.

Repeat good work without losing control.

Built-in Skills cover common legal workflows: a matter brief, a deadline review, an evidence chronology, a drafting outline and an issue research pass. Each one prepares an ordinary question for you to review, and runs only when you submit it.

Built-in workflows

Review deadlines and next steps, build an evidence chronology, draft review-ready work product, research an issue.

Your own Skills

Build a private workflow with a fixed source boundary. Share it read-only, and revoke the share at any time.

Scheduled agents

Run a recurring review with a Skill and an Instruction. Every run rechecks access and stops if a source has been revoked.

Draft from your sources, then save and export.

Start a document from a pasted draft, a previous chat, team memory, an uploaded file or a template. Review each draft in the editor, save it when you choose, and export to Word or PDF.

Template library

Search by category, jurisdiction and approval status. Templates are starting points, not court-approved forms.

Packs

Group templates into a private pack, verify the matter details for each field, then create separate editable drafts.

Vault search

Upload files, wait for them to index, then search the text inside the files you may read. Results show the passage and open the original.

New questions, drafts, uploads, instructions and memory are private to the person who created them. The default setting in AliWiz.

When you share, the recipient gets read-only access, and you can revoke it. Matter members work together on the matter’s case file, docket and tasks. Sharing a matter does not share your private questions or drafts.

  • Administrators can see all account content for oversight
  • Library and Vault searches only return documents you may read
  • Provider keys are stored encrypted per account and never shown in full
  • Answers show the passages they used wherever a source is available

A reviewing lawyer stays in charge.

AliWiz drafts and suggests. You check the source, confirm the dates and decide what to file. The final judgment is always yours.

Verify before relying

Answers are drafts. Open the source passage before you rely on a citation or a date.

Explicit saves and submissions

Nothing is saved or sent because a screen changed. You press save, and you press submit.

No automatic filings

AliWiz never files a document with a court. Filing remains an attorney decision.
